Scheduler
GENERAL FUNCTION:
Develops project master schedules, logically links
tasks in schedule, loads resources and budgets into
schedule. Enters progress and produces reports for
production, project and executive management. Works
under the direction of the Planning and Scheduling
Manager.
TYPICAL DUTIES:
The following statements are intended to describe the
general nature and level of work being performed and are
not to be construed as an exhaustive list of all
responsibilities. Develops and maintains project
schedule. Assists planners with creation of progress
templates, gathering progress and enters progress into
schedule and company ERP system. Maintains the budgets
in the company ERP system. Assists planners with

modifications and adjusts production schedules as
needed. Communicates schedule adjustments to production
personnel. Reports scheduling problems to Planning and
scheduling manager.
REQUIRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:
Shipyard experience with Primavera Project Planner
3.X and/or 5.X is essential. A firm understanding of the
production sequences used in the shipyard environment.
Experience with the MS Office package, to include word,
excel, and MS Projects. Ability to read engineering
drawings, specifications and blueprints. Ability to
maintain effective working relationships. Knowledge of
the creation and use of Build Strategies, Master
Schedules, Work Breakdown Structures, Budgeting,
Resources Loading, and Detailed Scheduling.
DESIRABLE EXPERIENCE & TRAINING:
High school education or equivalent. 5 yrs experience
with Primavera Project Planner version 3.X and/or 5.X. A
firm understanding of Oil Rigs and oil rig construction.
Familiarity with general shipyard practices ranging from
safety to production sequencing.

Product and Process Analyst, Greenville, SC
BASIC FUNCTION AND PURPOSE: Responsible for
acquisition, design, analysis, reporting and maintenance
of information models related to the Operations Planning
function.
Primary functions include:
Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) data for the
Global process. This entails:
- Demand Planning Collect last month’s actual data
to generate the statistical forecast for the new
S&OP cycle. Analyze the “Smart Forecast”
first pass statistical forecast for forecast
effectiveness. Manage and adjust the forecast
algorithms to mirror the real world state, and
generate a new forecast.
- Measure the accuracy for the Demand plan for n =
1, and n = 3, analyze the root cause of the errors,
and implement corrective actions with the Sales and
Marketing organizations. Communicate the corrective
actions during the Demand Consensus Meeting. Measure
the assumption accuracy, analyze root cause and work
with sales and marketing to implementation
corrective action.
- Manage the weekly forecast process by measuring
weekly forecast accuracy, raising the flag when

cause analysis and implementing corrective actions
by working with Sales/Marketing.
- Determine the safety stock inventory based on the
forecast inaccuracy. Facilitate a multifunction team
to implement the adjustments to the forecast on a
quarterly basis.
- Supply Planning Collect last month’s data and
generate the actual vs plan metrics for the
Production plan accuracy. Analyze the root cause of
the problems with the plant sites and recommend
corrective actions.
- Manage the demonstrated capacity tracking process
by working with the plants to gather the data and
reach consensus on the demonstrated capacity on a
quarterly basis. Forward this information to the
Planning Manager for use in the S&OP process
- Lead a multi-functional team that determines
production plan, inventory plan and SAP readiness
metrics. Work with the WCM group to create projects
to implement the metrics.
- Inventory Planning Collect last month’s data and
generate the actual vs plan metrics for the
Inventory plan accuracy. Analyze the root cause of
the problems with the plant sites. Manage the team
to implement the consensus corrective actions.
- Analyze the sku data and determine the ABC’s of
the inventory items. Collect the metrics data and
analyze root cause for all inventories not at
target, and work with the plants to implement
corrective actions
- Determine inventory projects that will improve the
management and velocity of the inventory, and work
with WCM to create projects using the 6 Sigma
processes: DMAIC.
- Assist in the development of the Product and
Service Offer (P&SO) database to ensure
discipline and integrity of product offer and
policy/guideline information. Assist with the
development of local and regional replenishment
processes with work in process or finished goods
areas Provide data and analysis to support Global
Manufacturing Strategy initiatives. Design
customized data reports on an as-needed basis to
provide insight and enable the organization to make
sound business decisions based on fact. SAP
readiness Coordinate transition of data into new
information systems as they become available.
Expectation to become a SAP/BW super user. Other
projects as assigned. QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor Degree BS/BA. May be replaced with
additional five years of appropriate experience.
APICS certification (CPIM) is desired Broad-based
knowledge of integrated planning and scheduling
processes desired. Proven ability to work
